Poppins Posies
Poppins Posies began with a dahlia tuber from the North Carolina Arboretum. Bob planted it and the result astounded us. Bob planted more dahlias and we were addicted.
Soon we were planting many kinds of flowers and opened for business in 2003. We wanted our flowers to be affordable, especially for brides who could not spend thousands of dollars on flowers, and we found that many brides come to us because they prefer to buy locally, making a nice environmental footprint.
Flower thoughts
We are a flower farm in Mills River: fresh local flowers from May to the frost. We have many kinds of blooms, but dahlias are our specialty. We also create custom bouquets and arrangements.
